Behind my Designs, you will find a person who is…
-
I am always looking to improve my skills as a Designer and broaden my capabiltiies.
My expertise currently consists of:
Discovering through User Research (Research Planning, User Surveys, User Interviews, Interpreting Data, Creating HMWs and POVs based on collected data)
Centering around User Experience (Creating Personas, Story Boards, Sitemaps, User Flows, User Testing)
Building a seamless User Interface (Creating Mood Boards, Designing Component Libraries, Wireframes)
Constructing Identity through Visual Design (Creating Color Palettes, Designing Icons, Designing Logos)
-
My creativity can be split into 3 parts: I always come up with multiple solutions to one predefined problem, I can get inspired by anything happening around me and my process is built around discoveries that show up while I am working.
While I was redesigning the website for an NGO, I noticed a wavy green line in the sketches provided by the client, which helped me construct a specific green side of the page that transitioned through a wavy pattern, where important information could be found.
-
When I work, I always create a plan that can help me bring my ideas forward and create actionable decisions.
I have studied Agile methodologies to improve my work routine and integrate them into each project. When I was working as an Account Manager, I had to balance the client’s requests with the delivery team’s capacity.
Integrating Scrum as a way of working inside the team helped both me and the team maintain a good pace and handle better the stakeholder management process.
-
When I am working as a designer, I always integrate my artistic background: my passion for combining colors and applying color theory helps me find the best color palette, and my knowledge of the principles behind artistic movements helps me send a personal message to the users I am trying to reach.
Ultimately, my keen eye for aesthetics helps me create a pleasing user interface.
-
As a designer, I put a great price on the small details, because they ultimately have a high impact. I double-check everything and do my visual work at a very precise scale.
Even one slight tint in plus or minus can impact the user’s ability to comprehend the message that you want to send.
-
Coming from a Psychology background, this helps me understand the story behind the actions and the motivations of the users.
When I do my user research, I analyze the qualitative and quantitative data from a psychological perspective.
Given my cognitive-behavioral approach, I am able to link the results and create a full picture of the user containing their emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and how this complex system interacts with the product.
-
I believe one of my core values is to make data-driven decisions because I base my actions on valuable insights that could push the process forward.
This helped me develop a very persuasive negotiation process with stakeholders in my previous role as an IT Recruitment Consultant.
-
I believe that one of my strongest points as a Designer comes from my ability and desire to help people.
Studying psychology opened my mind to how I can make the world a better place for everyone and help people navigate through life.
One of my greatest achievements was rethinking the internship program from my previous job, based on the principles of educational and organizational psychology. As a result, my trainee was promoted to full consultant and became one of the company’s top billers.
